It has been an interesting experience last semester and especially this semester adapting to two completely different schedules back and from on days of the week and then again on the weekends. Mondays and Wednesdays I don’t have to get up till 12 because my first class is at 1:30 and that is as late as I will let myself sleep. While on Tuesdays and Thursdays I get up at 9 or 9:30 to make my 10 O’Clock class… then on the weekends I’ll get up between 8:30 and 11 depending on when Kayla calls and so my internal clock is always messed up… I am online right now at 2:30 in the morning because my body is still on M-We time and I am just a little tired… I’ll probably go to sleep after posting this but even so… its late already!
Also today me and ross went through and cleaned the apartment (something I have had to get use to) because at home my mom cleaned the house every saturday top to bottom… I got use to be in a clean enviroment… but now I have had to get use to MAKING that enviroment clean…
I can cook some tasty fajitas… just about anything to do with chicken is my specialty… but I can’t cook much else unless it comes with instructions straight out of the box (or bag), so that is another feat I have had to overcome…
Time management KILLS. I have to get homework done on a schedule that is ever changing on one week I’m swamped the next week I play video games non-stop to keep from killing ross or myself from BOREDOM!!!
Also because of my neighborhood there is the constant fear of robbery… it already happened to my car… the apartment is the other thing with any valuables left (few as there may be) they are here and the neighbors probably want them… the only thing I don’t take into my room to sleep with is my xbox controller… and now that I am thinking about it I will start bringing it up here too… they can have ross’s tv and the diet coke… but my phone and laptop are the only tech I have up here and I can’t afford to replace them!
I just wanted to take the time to share college stress with the world as it helps get some steam off… though it also makes me want to put chairs against my doors thinking about the neighbors… but with all the windows this stupid apartment has what good would it do anyways!? Atleast I can sleep soundly knowing if anyone breaks in I have a nerf gun next to my bed… yeah… that’ll scare em off……….
